Since 1981, under the Swallow brand, Peter Bird and Robert Wade have hand-built bespoke steel frames for discerning clients.

In 2009 we added made-to-measure hand-made aluminium frames under our Landescape brand and in 2012 complimented this with made-to-measure hand-made carbon fibre tandem frames.

About Swallow Bespoke

The Tandem Experience, a business dedicated to helping people enjoy themselves on bicycles built for two. We organise tandem tours and tandem holidays bringing tandem fans together for an unforgettable experience. We also provide the original Tandem Experience providing training and support to enable a couple to give tandem riding a whirl before you buy or just for fun.

For many; coasting down a vine-covered hill in Languedoc is the most fun you can have on two wheels. As well as being more sociable, more exhilarating and more fun than solo cycling, tandeming helps to develop other skills. Communication, team-working and mutual respect are vital parts of riding a tandem.

For others we organise Team Building events like 'Tandemania' which some describe as "it's a knock-out on tandems". If you haven't tried tandem limbo then you haven't tried the Tandem Experience. That is why many organisations call us to provide team-building activities. We provide a flexible and tailored service. It's amazing what you can achieve with a trailer-load of tandems and a brand-new team.

Our Landescape range designed in house by Peter Bird, built in butted aluminium frames and made to measure all riders can fit these tandems perfectly. The fact that you can choose chainset, colour, brake and wheels ensures that Landescape stands out from the crowd.

The Co-Motion range, largest manufacturer of tandems in the World from standard two seaters to three and four seater tandems, the remarkable Periscope design and convertible frames are all possible with Co-Motion.

Helios Tandem are a one size tandem to fit many uses from child back tandems to luggage carrying or just a trip to the shops for two. Totally adaptable.
