2002 Republic of France Silver Proof 1.5 Euro coin in excellent Fleur de Coin condition.  Issued to commemorate Europa and the first year of the Euro which entered circulation on 1 January 2002.  The obverse of the coin depicts eight pre-Euro French Franc coins along with the denomination and the names of the other EU member states who also adopted the Euro currency.  It's reverse design bears the partial portrait of Lady Europa with 12 Euro signs above, flags and date below.  The coin comes with a plastic capsule. 

Struck by Monnaie de Paris in .900 Silver.  It has a 37mm diameter and weighs 22.2 grams.
