This is a great choice for those who'd like to begin the foray into the world of anamorphic adapters at a forgiving price point. This Prima 16CS 2x anamorphic adapter is quite similar to the famous and much sought after Sankor 16C or 16D anamorphic adapter. It comes with an attractive hard case.

There is no front filter thread, but I'm including a modified 55mm step ring that you can easily glue to the front of the anamorphic if you need to add filters or a close up diopter.

There is a rear filter thread on the adapter but it's an unusual size that's difficult to get step rings for. So to get this onto a taking lens I got the best results by mounting this with an anamorphic lens clamp such as that by vid-atlantic or redstan

This adapter is really sharp. There will be some slight vignetting at 85mm on full frame. 100mm should see you clear. If you'd like me to take some test images, or if you've any questions please let me know.

Update: Added 2 pics. The second last one is the full frame sensor of a Canon 5D MkIII with the Prima on an OM Zuiko 85mm f2.

The last pic is the APS-C crop frame Canon 600D, with the Prima on an OM Zuiko 50mm f1.8.

Both lenses were wide open so vignetting is minimised. You can go as wide as 85mm on full frame and 50mm on crop frame but the lens must be fast and at a wide aperture.

OK, here's some test footage I just shot with the Prima on an 85mm lens on a Canon 5D3 recording Magic Lantern RAW at 1600x1200:
