1952 JRJ Bob Jackson Path racer

Restored this year by Bob Jackson cycles Leeds in shimmering blue (a JRJ favourite) with gold hand lined lugs

57cm tt, 55cm st c-c

Nervex lugs, double chainstay socket lugs (a JRJ signature)

Reynolds 531 tubing

These bicycles where introduced 1890-1950s during a ban on road racing which spawned grass racing and time trialling to get around the law. Path racers where designed to be ridden to the race where the front brake would be removed (this frame is drilled for a front brake but not a rear) and raced on a grass oval circuit.

This is sold built with: Campagnolo Chorus headset, GB period stem, unbranded bars, Cinelli tape, Miche Primato hubs (single fixed) laced to Mavic MA2 rims, Michelin Select gumwall tyres, Miche BB, Miche Primato chainset 165mm 48t, 17t fixed rear sprocket, unbranded aero seatpost and new San Marco rolls re-issue saddle.

There are a couple of marks from storage and some little knocks as you would expect from a 62 year old bike. See the pictures. Bob Jackson Cycles have looked it over.

This would make a great Xmas gift! 100% of the proceeds of the sale go directly to the Charity Markfield. The more we can raise the better!

I would prefer collection from Markfield Tottenham North London. Delivery in the London area may be possible if you contact me before bidding, I would prefer not to post but I would to the right bidder.

GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
REMEMBER IT'S ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE!
