Brand new, fully tested, firmware loaded. Ships in an antistatic bag. You'll need to solder this converter to your Model F keyboard and configure each key with xwhatsit's GUI to make it work. You'll also need to solder the included 6 pin right angle header connector to connect your beeper (if you want to attach the beeper).
For many IBM Model F keyboards (like the 4704s and certain 104 key "Space Unsavers"), this controller is the only way to get your keyboard working reliably with a modern PC. In the past 4-5 weeks almost my entire bulk shipment has sold out - just 10 are available now. There may be less available as a few people have reserved these but have not yet paid, so I may end the listing before all 10 listed units have sold. You will receive ONE controller. For more please adjust the quantity on the top of the page before placing the order. These were designed to offer greater customization and functionality to any IBM Model F keyboard that has a 30 pin ribbon cable connecting to the controller (which is pretty much all of them): 122 key Model F, 107 key, 104 key, 77 key, 62 key, 50 key, etc. These do not work on all Model Fs - please see the relevant xwhatsit threads on the forums for further information before buying this. Please see the xwhatsit threads on the Geekhack and Deskthority threads for more information, as no technical support will be provided. Each unit has been fully tested with the computer and with an oscilloscope. I have soldered a bunch of them to my different Model F keyboards (including my rare F77!) and all work 100%. These were built in bulk by one of the major Chinese PCB fabricators/assemblers that do the boards in many smart phones. Ships within a day or two of cleared payment. These are built to last and are of the highest quality. To be on the safe side only the best spec'd components were used. Many of the components on this PCB were overspec'd beyond the project requirements according to xwhatsit. A 33% discount thanks to economies of scale in China! Xwhatsit has given me a lot of good advice throughout the process and has kindly checked the specs and gerbers to fix my mistakes. I could not have done this bulk order without him! Shipping (from the US) will be $5 USPS domestic tracked, $6 international untracked (assuming 3 oz. package weight; could cost more). Or actual USPS costs for international tracked. Ordering more than one at a time will give you no extra domestic shipping charge or discounted international shipping. Differences: Unlike xwhatsit's version, this PCB color is green and the legend color is white. The 3x2 pin header will be included but you will need to solder it to the PCB (this step is only required if you want a buzzer or solenoid). Ships in a 3M antistatic bag. Any questions please let me know. Please see my other listings as well: http://www.ebay.com/sch/joestran1/m.html I also have available a pristine IBM Industrial Space Saving Keyboard, some IBM Model F 107 key keyboards already USB converted with this controller, a pristine Nikon D90 kit, and a complete Hess truck collection over a 14-year span. |
