Today at Eric Doeringer’s RP Flea Market eBay Shop we are excited to bring you…
“Cowboy” by Richard Prince, a booklet published in conjunction with Prince’s recent exhibition at Gladstone Gallery in New York City. The book contains a lengthy essay by RP about his use of the cowboy in his artwork; from 1980's appropriations of Marlboro advertisements (we learn that artist Christopher Wool was the first person to buy one of RP's Cowboy photographs) through more recent cowboy-themed paintings and sculpture. A VERY RARE publication, "Cowboy" was printed in two versions, one with a black cover and a white cover. This is the white version. Still sealed in the original bag, this copy has never been read and is in mint condition. 8.5 x 7”, 28 pages All items sold here at Eric Doeringer’s RP Flea Market eBay Shop come with a 11 x 8.5” image of the item, autographed by Eric Doeringer.
