This is an albumen print toned with gold from a wet plate collodion negative. This albumen print will be done in edition of 12 and this is the first print in the edition. My name is Borut Peterlin, an artist from Slovenia, EU and I've been thought the process by famous process historian Mark Osterman, from George Eastman House, Rochester, USA. The print was sensitised with high percentage of silver nitrate, so the albumen hardened and much more silver was bound to the surface of the print. That is one of the reason why the blacks are so deep and rich, while whites are remaining bright. Toning with gold-chloride is a guarantee that the print has archival quality and will last for more then a century, if conditions will be right.
The size of the print is 10x12" or 25x30cm, matt size 16"x20". Matt is made out of acid free materials and it's double, so the print is fasten only with edge corners. Basically it is done by museum standards.
I'm listing this print to partly finance my photo-book and my vlog. I've made the making of video explaining where, how and most importantly why I do this kind of photography.  I invite you to view it on my. YouTube Channel
