David Uhl Studios and NightRider Jewelry teamed up to support John Anthony West’s fight with cancer.
John Anthony West is a world renown Egyptologist who challenged the academia with his theories of ancient Egypt, including the dating of the Sphinx. In his 1993 Emmy award winning documentary, The Mysteries of the Sphinx, John proved geologically that the Sphinx is older than the conventional date of 2500BC. John is a respected author, lecturer and a leading proponent of the 'Symbolist' school of Egyptology. John now faces a cancer battle and he has recently been accepted in the renowned Burzynski Clinic in Houston, Texas. The clinic favors non-traditional cancer treatments which offer more promise than traditional treatment methods. Unfortunately, the non-traditional treatment methods are not covered under standard insurance policies and require out of pocket coverage. To support John and his family with medical expenses, artists David Uhl and Nick Ballantyne, decided to donate the “Eye of Providence” jewelry and fine art package to this ebay auction. John’s life and work have been an inspiration to both artists who are also fascinated with the symbolism of ancient Egypt and include its aspects in their artwork and jewelry designs, such as "Risen From Ruins" series (http://nightriderjewelry.com/risen-from-ruins/). The “Eye of Providence" package includes a framed, limited edition “Eye of Providence" fine art print and a Red Garnet stone ring (Sterling Silver .925), handcrafted in the USA.The canvas print, size 20”x16”, is hand-signed and numbered by David Uhl. The size of the ring will be determined by the winner of this auction.
