Only 30 or so of these computers are known to exist today. Apple Lisa computer was a landmark in computing history - being the first personal computer available with a GUI (graphical user interface) and a mouse. The release of the Apple Lisa computer in January of 1983 pre-dates Microsoft Windows 1.0 by almost 3 years! The Apple Lisa was the programming platform for the original Macintosh, both using Motorola 68000 CPU. This Lisa turns on and passes all hardware tests. The CRT screen is bright and crisp with no burn-in. The anti-glare screen is in perfect shape with no rips. Please note that Twiggy disk drives are present in this system but are not tested. Based on this Lisa's production information, it was manufactured on the 230th day of 1983 and is Lisa #3014 off of the production line. Serial No: B08B8323000321 Applenet No: 00103014 (#3014 off the production line) Manufactured: 83230 (230th day of 1983) A LISA 1 COMPUTER IS EXTREMELY RARE BECAUSE: WHAT MAKES A LISA 1 COMPUTER SO DIFFERENT FROM A LISA 2? * A Lisa 1 computer has 2 x 5.25" Twiggy floppy disk drives, and the corresponding dual-floppy front faceplate. * Lisa Office System (Lisa OS) versions 1.0 and 1.2 will only run on a Lisa 1 computer - not a Lisa 2 or 2/10. * Lisa Office System (Lisa OS) versions 2.0 and 3.0 will only run on a Lisa 2 or 2/10 computer, not a Lisa 1. * The ROM revision numbers, shown in the top-right corner of the screen upon boot-up. * A Lisa 1 will likely have "Rev. D" ROMs on its CPU board. Earlier versions such as B and C have been found. * The I/O board ROM version is "Rev. 40". Most Lisa 1's have a "Rev. 40" I/O board ROM. "Rev. 52" is also known. * The I/O and CPU board ROMs in this particular computer are authentic and original, as identified by their stickers. * Resistors R41 & R47 are also present on the I/O board, and have never been removed. * A Lisa 1 computer will not have a manufacture date after 1984, for example...
