This Apple II is one of the quite rare limited runs of special Apple II computers sold exclusively by Bell & Howell to Educational and Business groups through a special licensing agreement with Apple. They were primarily sold to Companies needing specific Apple Business applications software for their work. This particular CPU was originally sold to the Singer Kearfott Corporation. Singer / Kearfott is a well known New Jersey Company dealing primarily with Government Defense Contracts work. The Singer Company’s silver software disclaimer sticker is still attached to the top of this CPU! I’ve included a photo of it below. It’s a bit difficult to read because of reflections from my camera flash, but you can still read their Company disclaimer. Very interesting!

The Apple Apple Model number of this Apple II computer is A2S1048B. The serial number of this computer is number 382.

Included in my auction are the 2 matching floppy disk drives that were originally attached to this computer at Singer, as well as a beige colored TKC numeric keyboard that was used on this computer as well. There is a card that attaches to the Apple II logic boards front center area underneath the regular top keyboard area.

Also Inside the computer you have the following:

The Disk II interface card controls both drives, and I have the drive cables for both units to attach to the card. The Disk II card Apple part number is 650-X104 and it is dated 1978.

The Apple power supply is an Astec OEM with Apple model number 605-5703, and a serial number of 393.

The Apple II main logic board is dated 1979, and is a number 820-0044-D version.

A 1980 Microsoft memory card. A ribbon cable runs off this board and attaches to the main boards surface memory area.

One 1980 TYmac controls Paralell Printer Card model PPC-100 Version 5, RevB.

There is also a 1980 Videx main memory video card attached to a smaller 1982 Videx card that is mounted on the logic board near the standard video output on the rear left side of the main logic board. There is a grey cable coming off the bord that attaches to any external monitor that accepts a TTL style RCA type jack.

The Keyboard has the word “BELL” written on the center letter G of the keyboard. It has the white power key that lights up as well.

This system has been sitting for years now. It is being sold as is. I will consider all offers if made during the auctions run time, and I will try and respond to any and all questions as soon as possible. Thanks!

As far as shipping goes, I estimate around $35.00 for most of the continental USA. The computer with drives will be weighing about 20 Lbs when boxed. For exact shipping pricing I would need your zip code. Local pickups are always welcome.
Also, if I have a “Buy It Now” option listed, please do what the process implies and actually Buy It Now if you use it, and not next week! I need to hear from the successful bidder within 72 hours of the sale that Ebay recommends.
