This is a true to life likeness of Homer Simpson's head made naturally by an overflowing tube of Uhu glue! It is very small - about a centimetre from the bottom of his neck to the top of his head but it does have Homer's trademark bald head, big eyes and grinning mouth. The missing piece in any Simpson enthusiast's collection...

I have to say thanks for all the dozens and dozens of messages I've had about my unique Homer gluehead - my faith in human nature has been restored thanks to UK eBayers!
I'm now considering various kind offers including the current frontrunner of 500 camels plus all the parsnips they can eat. You know who you are.
Other answers to questions posed include: no of course it's not Casper; good luck with the chewing gum Marge Simpson; yes he is toilet trained and low maintenance; I will accept postal orders but 54 grand in them would cost a fortune to send through the post; send me a picture of the toast that looks like Elvis and of course I will accept your Porsche in part exchange but what else are you going to offer? Porsches are ten a penny, Homer Gluehead is unique.....

Good morning everyone. Well what can I say? £146,000?!! Who would have thought Homer Gluehead would be the most valuable thing I own after my flat.
This time Monday, Rodders, we'll be millionaires....

Lots of people asking whether this auction is 'for real'. It's true that I have a bit of dried glue that looks like Homer Simpson and that lots of eBayers have bid on it. Does that help?

Thanks for all your concern about ebay fees safe to say it's under control.

Also to one ebayer....I am afraid I am already happily married and as I don't live in Utah I will have to decline your kind offer of marriage.
Lastly Martine McCutcheon put it well 'this is my moment, this is my perfect moment with glue'

I see the indoor bowls is on the telly. Looks like there's more people watching this auction though.

So, thanks again for my latest batch of questions and offers. I shall consider them in due course but initial reactions are as follows:
A I like Jammy Dodgers and I happen to brush my teeth with Arm and Hammer so why offer me just 3 biscuits and half a tube? The guided tour of Leicestershire sounds tempting though
B Thanks for your offer of a brand new iPhone4 -I'll put you down as a maybe.
C Yes I am the bloke off the local news the other day, funny how life turns out isn't it?
D Yes it has crossed my mind that the winning bidder might not pay up but who knows - people I know are generally surprised that I'm in this position in the first place....
E Please don't worry about eBay fees - it's 10% but only up to a maximum of 40 quid. I have it in writing from the people behind this illustrious website. They'll also refund me that if they have to.

Now back to the crown green bowls......

I don't want to disappoint any of you Uhu fans tempted to purchase this figurine based on the type of glue used. So.....I now confess he was made from Ever Build Stick2 All Purpose Clear Adhesive. It's like calling a vacuum cleaner a 'Hoover', one of those builder's loos a 'Portaloo' or hook and loop fasteners 'Velcro'. Schoolboy error.

On 29-Jan-12 at 17:04:00 GMT, seller added the following information:

As this auction reaches its inevitable climax, I have just been offered £250,000 and £500,000. Well, that's just silly. Sensible bids only please.

On 29-Jan-12 at 19:13:08 GMT, seller added the following information:

So I thought you might like to know there are 3,842 sets of eyes watching this Homer  auction. And 217 watching the Homer GlueTube. The tension is building......

On 29-Jan-12 at 19:14:45 GMT, seller added the following information:

Sorry, make that 3,850

On 29-Jan-12 at 19:53:34 GMT, seller added the following information:

Just had the offer of my life, which involved a car, some blue cheese, a subscription to Netflix, a portable typewriter,  a saucy picture of his neighbour and a radio that has starred in a Hollywood film. Unfortunately, the bidder opened the cheese to check he hadnt opened it, thus invalidating the bid.

PS Is this really happening?

On 29-Jan-12 at 20:57:51 GMT, seller added the following information:

Lottery winners, MPs dads - they all are all coming out of the woodwork with desperate bids to win this auction. And Who can blame them?

I don't want to name names but trailing behind in last place is the offer of a piece of mud that looks like Hugh Grant. Pah, as if.

On 29-Jan-12 at 21:21:38 GMT, seller added the following information:

Now Marge has been cast in glue. Sort of an impressionist version. Seek her out on eBay 'Marge Simpson dried glue lookalike'. Competition is hotting up...time to up the stakes. Keep your eyes peeled for dried glue homer commemorative t shirts on ebay in the coming days!

On 29-Jan-12 at 23:03:31 GMT, seller added the following information:

My wife won't let me go to bed until I address the packaging queries that have been raised, so here goes. If anyone ends up paying me for Homer Gluehead I will have enough money to personally deliver it by gold-plated limo. If it turns out that I'm busy sailing my luxury yacht round the Caribbean I will send it by recorded post in a secure but second hand jewellery box (ideal gift for a loved one what with Valentine's Day approaching and all) so there is no danger of the little fella getting squashed, as some of you fear.

Glad to see the glue Marge is up to 12 quid already, although it has been pointed out that she is not naturally occuring like Homer of course.
