You are bidding on a pair of WWII era electrically heated GE flight gloves  for an F-2 Electrically Heated Flight Suit.    Tags inside these gloves, which appear unused and remain stapled together read as follows: 

The black tag with gold colored letters on the left glove reads “INSERT AND ELECTRICALLY HEATED GLOVE FOR TYPE F-2 ELECTRICALLY HEATED FLYING SUIT SPECIFICATION NO. 3182 SIZE 8 CONTRACT NO. W-33-038-AC-623 (11219) GENERAL (ge logo) ELECTRIC MADE IN USA PROPERTY AIR FORCES U.S. ARMY”   A white tag attached to the black tag bears the number 29567 and Pat. No. 2,269,990 and a handwritten number.   Have fun bidding and please ask any questions you may have.   

The black tag with gold letters on the right glove reads:  “GLOVE GE CAT. NO.  PA1702 FOR TYPE F-2 ELECTRICALLY HEATED FLYING SUIT SPECIFICATION NUMBERS 3184 & 3158 SIZE 8 CONTRACT NO. W-33-038-AC-623 (11219)  GENERAL (ge logo) ELECTRIC MADE IN USA PROPERTY AIR FORCES U.S. ARMY”.     A white tag attached to the black tag bears the number 370230 and Pat. No. 2,118,017 and Pat. No. 2,227,154 and a handwritten number.

Each glove has an old adhesive tag in the lining that reads “MATE NO.  8” with one glove’s tag having the number 752 and the other 923.

While each tag bears a little different data, the gloves are identical in all other respects and each glove has an off-white colored material lining.

Brown colored leather remains soft and pliable.  You may see some subtle scuffs/scratches from years of moving and storage.  Nice collectable piece of history!
