This lot of late 1950's or early 1960’s Marx Battle of the Blue & Gray Play Set Confederate army figures comes from the estate of the original childhood owner. There are 42 of the 1st series figures in this group, including a mounted officer, plus 1 horse. 1 of the marching figures is a light gray, the others are all a color matched medium gray.
2 of the figures are somewhat different in appearance from the others: a shot figure dropping his pistol has an extended arm, and 1 of the standing/calling figures also has an extended arm. I have pictured them in the 2nd image below next to some normal figures from this lot. 7 of the figures have some damage: 5 are missing the tips of their weapons, an officer is missing his sword, and the standard bearer has no flag. The others are played with but very good to excellent condition. My pictures should tell the whole story. Please e-mail me with any questions. NYS residents must include 8% sales tax. I accept all forms of payment. See my other auctions for more Marx Civil War pieces from this same estate. Multiple orders can be combined to save on shipping. |
