Presenting an exceptional hand blown Australian Studio art glass paperweight, expertly hand crafted and signed by the renown Artist Eileen Gordan founder of Gordon Studio. This exceptionally fine example features an exquisite encased flower suspended within the sparkling crystal clear solid glass ovoid shaped form. One cut-away polished side has been formed to the front of the paperweight, providing the perfect window through which to view the exquisite flower within. The encased flower has been expertly formed, with perfectly curved rich crimson red petals, blending seamlessly with a deep purple to add a gorgeous depth to each petal. Crisp white highlights radiate from the centre of the flower. The stunning bloom bursts to life from a top a slender bright green stem. The thick glass paperweight acts as a lens, spectacularly magnifying and distorting the exquisite form and colour within.  Eileen Gordon was born in Norway to a family of glass artists. After training professionally in England, Gordon emigrated to Australia where she honed her skills in many glass studios both around Australia and overseas. She established Gordon Studios in 1990, in conjunction with her partner Grant Donaldson. This exquisite art glass paperweight is a wonderful early example signed and dated by Eileen Gordon during the very first year Gordon  Studio was originally established. This piece is beautifully signed and dated with the artists engraved signature "Eileen Gordon 1990". The skill and master techniques used to create this stunning hand crafted piece have ensured Gordon Studios work have found their way into private and public collections around the world. This exceptional art glass paperweight is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
