For sale with Barons Auctions on Saturday 30th April at The International Ford Show at Sandown Park, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9AJ

With intentions to build a run of Capri 3.0 litre turbocharged supercars by Ford’s “Special Vehicles Division”, this car is believed to be one of just four cars sent from the Ford factory to Janspeed Engineering as a prototype. The Janspeed prototypes didn’t make final production, in favour of the 2.8i, so the four surviving examples are extremely rare and collectible.

This example is described by the vendor as being in very good condition throughout and driving very well. Securely dry stored by the current owner between between 1997 and 2009, this beautiful example was then sympathetically restored between 2009 and 2014 to the standard it is presented in today. The exhaust system and manifolds have all been replaced by janspeed.

History supplied with the car includes old MoTs, original Janspeed documentation with car-specific verification unique to this example, and Janspeed engineering records detailing engine settings and operating instructions.

This car was featured in the March 2015 issue of Classic Ford.

Guide price £35,000 to £40,000. Please contact Barons Auctions on 023 8066 8409 or visit www.barons-auctions.com for further information.
