If "Hen's Teeth" ever existed, this is the other of my 2 listings in which I have with such items. The DD-1 is the front door speaker/call button adaptor for the Aiphone HM-7 All Master Home Intercom System (arguably the best home intercom system Aiphone or anyone ever made). The DD-1 was a "Special Order Product" which meant that most shops did not even stock this item. A factory special order would take up to 30-days or longer. Discontinued in the early 1990's, the HM-7 intercom system was designed to last 25 to 30 years. Which means there are literally thousands of HM-7's still in use in homes throughout America (my old home in California still has the HM-7 system we installed in 1986 and that system still going strong). If an existing DD-1 Adaptor needs to be replaced today, you can either install a separate door bell that does not ring through the HM-7 system or you can pull out the HM-7 system and replace it with another system. But now you can be a hero to your customer and keep their existing system intact.
Full Factory One-Year Warranty - Under Aiphone's unique factory warranty, the warranty period does not begin until the unit is sold to the "ultimate end user" if an over-the-counter sale or until you install the unit for your customer. So the factory warranty is still in effect.
