2008 MG ZT-T 2.5 V6 24V quadcam, tourer, finished in stunning Firesfrost Red metallic paint.

For the serious MG enthusiast and collector only, this is a late 2005MY MG ZT-T that was taken from the production line by SMTC and used as a prototype development car, possibly for a planned facelift of the MG ZT range of vehicles (which obviously never happened).

The car is fitted with an experimental EURO-IV compliant KV6 engine. While the core unit appears to be standard, the engine is fitted with a non-standard air intake system; has a bespoke exhaust manifold, downpipe and through system; various sensors fitted not found on EURO-III KV6; has a new header tank system; drive-by-wire throttle; new front braking system; and is also fitted with a bespoke front end based on the Premium Grille "face" found on the V8 Rover 75.

The interior of the car is as standard with no additional features which one would not expect to see on a Highline MG ZT-T.
All electrics work perfectly, including the Sat Nav which comes with a nav disc (an up-to-date disc may be needed for effective use of the system, however).

The car drives perfectly, feels like a new ZT-T! However, due to the bespoke nature of the car it would perhaps not be ideall as the daily runaround, but that is for the new owner to decide! Although the car is a prototype it does have a standard UK V5 registration document and can be taxed and driven just as any ordinary MG can and the same rules and regulations to taxation, insurance and MOT testing apply.

As this is a prototype it is being sold as such as there is no strict technical back up available for this car either from ourselves or the manufacturer. Please bear this in mind before making any enquiries. We will, however, try and provide technical assistance wherever possible if we can.

This vehicle should not and cannot be relied upon for everyday use. We cannot stress the importance of this enough! If the new owner wishes to use the vehicle as an everyday run-a-round then that is their perogative, but that is not the intended purpose under which we are selling it as this is an engineering car - engineered to test new, and prototype parts.

However, there is also the possibility of reverse engineering the car back to a standard ZT-T 190, which could be achieved using donor parts from another MG ZT or MG ZT-T. This would leave you with a very low mileage standard car, but would remove, more or less, the unique elements of the car.
