Here I sell an icon from 1970 right out of the Space- age: The PHILIPS GF303 aka "The UFO".

In 1969 the first man landed on the moon and this inspired a lot of manufacturers to design futuristic.

Car brands came with spacey concept cars, furniture was designed into 2000 and also Electronics manufacturers designed like it was 2000 already.

The most famous example was the PHILIPS GF303 portable turntable from 1970 aka "The UFO".

Designed by Roger Panton for PHILIPS France, this recordplayer was a Cult object already before it came in the shops.

There were three models: with a red, blue or grey transparent hood.

This one, from this ad, is the most beautiful one: in red.

It has been checked by a PHILIPS specialist and , although not neccessairy yet, has replaced some, quite expensive, Germanium Transistors for me so you will enjoy it for at least another 40 years.

Batterycompartement is brandnew ( it works on AC and DC), The handle isn't broken, the lid of the batterycompartement is there. The cord for AC is, just like the adapter for 45 speed records placed in the bottom of the "UFO".

Playes like a new one. The loudspeaker is placed in the lid and gives a great sound. Needle is like new.

In short: technically perfect, overall in very very good shape with some minor usagemarks. And a true rarety in Audioland!!!
