TDA7492 itself has super powerful Output short circuit protection systems & over temperature protection circuit. It could work under Voltage of DC 8-26V(but the working voltage is quite related to the output power & performance.) In order to ensure the maximum performance, we use a special matched DC24V power supply for it.

When it's working at DC24V the best voltage point, its effectiveness is up to 90%, and it won't produce so much heat, so it's quite suitable for usage in long working time occasion such as supermarket, etc.
