Very rare, first edition of The Silmarillion, signed by Christopher Tolkien and certified as the 90th of the first 1,000 copies off the press.
Red leather cover in hard red slip case, quality paper and large, fold-out map. The book has hardly ever been opened (still very stiff). The slip case has seen a little dust over the years and there is some discolouration of the leather at the edges of the spine (as clear in the fourth photograph). This is reflected in the starting price for such an extremely rare item. |
