This is from a Jaguar Mark 7.  Smiths part number is located on very top of the face in small print which may require a magnifying glass to read on most of these. This is similar to the other one of this number except it has part of the capillary tube line still attached. The glass is loose but is not broken!

This is similar to many other early Jaguar and other British cars oil/temp gauge.  The capillary tube is missing.  Glass and gauge face are good.  This does not have the blue insert on the side of the gauge for lighting the face. Can be rebuilt or used for parts. 

I am listing 2 other oil/temp gauges today, one with the same part #. Mounting brackets are the same on all 3 gauges, roughly the 2 o'clock and 7 o'clock position. Dial lettering is slightly different on the two types.
