Here is a gorgeous 6M Conn Alto Saxophone.  Conn's 6M Artist or "Naked Lady" model is most known for the stunning female nude engraved inside a pentagon on the front of the bell.   Because the original lacquer is in such good shape this horn boasts a crisp and elegant lady face.  The serial number 334,xxx dates it to 1949 long before Conn took the microtuner off the neck and the lady off the bell in the 50s and 60s.  The body of this horn is straight with slight scratching on normal wear spots. The lacquer is 95% in tact and original.  The neck looks great and the body-bell brace hasn't been hit however the bottom bow of the saxophone has taken a slight push in as is illustrated. The horn has been serviced recently and plays great up and down, I'm really serious about how well she plays.  I love being able to sell an instrument that has what really matters, great tone that seems to come naturally to the horn. The neck features an under-slung octave key as well as a fully functional microtuner neck.  I've owned saxophones without original cases and not cared but after seeing this case I understand why some folks really want the original case.  The dark red velvet interior is padded  still making clear that this horn is a seriously professional and beautiful machine.  Neck strap with original chipped mouthpiece also included in case.  Let it be known that all naked lady engravings are not created equal.  I'm not sure what is more impressive, her stunningly engaging eyes or the fact that this particular engraver on this particular day in 1949 added nipples to complete his work.  I double checked with a vintage saxophone repair pro, the lacquer is indeed original.
