A fabulous vintage kilt jacket- made in Scotland. The jacket is black wool with silver diamond shaped buttons. Made by Alex Scott & Co of Aberdeen. The jacket is an unusual shape and has a cropped round neru style neckline. There are three buttons down the front of the jacket and three buttons on each side along the pocket flaps at the hem.
There are three buttons on each sleeve and three more buttons at each side on the back.
This is a great jacket and would have been worn with a kilt. Ideal for formal wear or wedding - also a great jacket for casual wear - looks great with jeans.
Size - chest size 40 inches - armpit to armpit measures 20 1/2 inches. Length from nape of neck to hem is 27 inches. Shoulder to shoulder across the back is 19 inches. Sleeve length from shoulder seam to cuff is 25 inches.
Condition - in excellent condition there are no marks or pulls and the wool fabric has no holes or signs of wear. A velcro strip has been added at the top edges of the jacket - this could easily be removed. A great jacket in really good condition - no missing buttons.
Ideal for formal wear, piper, wedding etc.
