Fostoria Glass Crystal Stemmed Comport Compote

Comports or compotes sound old fashioned but these vintage pieces are perfect for today.  Comports are shallow stemmed pieces, meant to hold candy or float a single camellia.  This one is Fostoria Baroque crystal with the Chintz etch.

Chintz is one of Fostoria's most popular etched patterns, evidenced by the long production period from 1940 to 1973.  It's unmistakable with the flowers, long twining stems with realistic leaves and thorns.

You'll love how this Fostoria Chintz comport adds a touch of vintage sparkle to your home.  You'll like it even better holding M&Ms or mints (or nuts or chocolates or...  You get the idea.)

Fostoria Chintz compote is 4 1/2 inches tall and about 5 1/2 inches wide from the tip of one scallop on the rim to the tip of the one across.  This is crystal and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and virtually no wear.
