Vintage Real Photo Postcard, " Chief Silver Tongue". This man was also known as Oscar Norton, a fine tenor singer who starred in the Indian Ceremony at the Dells of Wisconsin for many years. At one time he reported that he was of Sioux origins, later, a Houpa Indian from northern California. He also stated he held a law degree, and was actually married to prominent stage actress Corona Riccardo until her death in 1917. The signature on the front looks like one I found online for him. Card has paste marks, surface and corner wear with a few dents. This item is shipped double packed in a soft plastic sleeve inside a rigid plastic sleeve, (both acid free) inside the mailing envelope, for extra protection from rough postal handling and wet mailboxes.
