Finished, Walnut Sides

Custom built, high quality DIY project enclosure.  Hand crafted in the USA.  Made from .063" aluminum, (26% thicker than a Hammond or Bud of a similar size) including bottom panel,  with Walnut sides.  Includes all stainless steel hardware for a totally non-magnetic enclosure.

The Walnut sides are completely finished in a high quality oil/wax finish.

The aluminum shell has been sanded/prepped  and is ready for primer/paint, powder coating, polishing, or use it as is.   Holes on the top have been countersunk for the oval head screws to give a smooth appearance.  Holes on the bottom panel mounting flanges are tapped for the #4-40 screws.   All edges have been "knocked down" and slightly radiused. 

The enclosure is VERY rigid when assembled and will support all the iron you can fit on it.  The last picture shows a customer-built pair of EL34 monoblocks on a 13x10x2 chassis.  Beautiful work!  He has 37.5 lbs. / 17 kg of iron atop each one - with no sagging or weight issues, to give you an idea of strength.  Larger, custom sized chassis may benefit from the use of an internal stiffener (1/2"x3/4"x1/16" alum. angle), depending on total weight, layout etc. 

* Custom sizes for any project * can be made to order, just drop me a line with your requirements/internal dimensions (WxDxH, where width is the distance across the wood sides) and I'll get you a quote.  Turn-around time is typically 1-1.5 weeks but can be as little as a few days.   Hardwood types are limited to what's currently on-hand, but I do have access to exotics and other domestics.  Special order hardwoods will cost a bit more, for example, Wenge, Bolivian Rosewood and Zebrawood are going for about $17-20/board foot.   The 5th picture shows some custom built encolsures to give you an idea of size/style possibilities.
