THRLLING WONDER STORIES

PULP SF/FANTASY MAGAZINE

October, 1938

Pulp magazines were published on pulp paper and they get yellow and brittle... small pieces often tend to fall off when handled!  This is no different.  Their covers' edges are usually ragged (normal, since they overlap the pages a bit).  In this case the covers are attached, although torn and scratched a bit here and there, and the pages, though brittle, are okay... all present and still tightly bound (by the original staples).  Generally not in bad shape for a pulp magazine over 70 years old... in fact, pretty good.  (Better condition than many pulps I have from later years!!!!)

In addition to the titles shown on the cover photograph, this issue features COSMIC TELETYPE, by Carl Jacobi; OF JOVIAN BUILD, by Oscar J. Friend; MIND OUT OF TIME, by Frank Belknap Long, Jr.; THE MAN WHO SAW TOO MUCH, by Ray Cummings; and THE ROBOT AND THE LADY, by Manly Wade Wellman.

Not clear to me who did the cover (I can't find any reference to the cover artist),  but if I had to guess I would say H. Brown.

Plus misc. features.

Reader’s column includes letters by Leslie Charteris (author of "The Saint" stories) and Doc Lowndes.

My buy-it-now price is a decent one, I feel, for this item, judging by other sellers here and there.  Getting it for the minimum auction bid would be a real steal.  Good luck!
