The needlework on this piece is amazing. I cannot begin to imagine the hours that went into making this. Beautiful needlework done by hand with silk ribbon intermingled with it.  If this doesn't sell, I will not mind at all. I will just keep it and use it myself. I may never see another piece of this style and quality. It measures 50" long and 17" wide at its widest point. Off white color that may be due to age. It needs to be gently laundered. There are a few light stains probably due to being stored away for a long period of time. I see no broken threads or holes that you find in a lot of these old pieces. Condition of the threads appear to be very strong. I would not be afraid to hand wash it at all. I know the opening bid seems high but this piece is worth a lot more. Thanks for looking.
