eBay
A sad sale of my trike project - new child and too many other projects.... Im sure you have all been there.

Anyway - this is a M100 Mercedes engined trike, which used to power the most expensive car in the world - a 1976 S class 450 SEL 6.8 W116. heres a link to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_450SEL_6.9

It has a 3 speed auto box - you dont need any more gears as theres so much torque.

Its mated to a 450 SLC R107 type back axle, with two semi trailing arms, and an anti roll bar off some bmw. Top speed should be about 120mph.

Attention to detail has been superb, with almost every bracket being designed to look right, as well as function. Its not the lightest thing in world, but who cares?

Its hub centre steered - designed by us, a copy of well known systems, and massivly over engineered. Actual  steering has yet to be finished, but we were thinking of using a boat hydraulic steering system (I have some of the parts for this).

I have a Q plate V5, but it has the wrong engine - a 2.5 litre - this will need to be updated.

Carbs are 2 lots of ZZR1100 - manifiold is yet to be made, but I have custom made gaskets and a steel manifold blank CNC laser cut ready to use.

Back brakes are standard merc - front is a honda.

Seat is a leather buttoned chesterfield, really comfortable!

No electrics. Original electronic ignition system comes with it.

The glass pyrex bottle is for the dry sump oil....

You are welcome to view - its in my garage in Porlock, west somerset.

Help with loading onto a flatbed or beavertail is of course available (I have a tractor)

I am really sad to see this go - but I need the space, and I have too much other stuff on my plate. I have moved house twice with it! Starting price is the value of the (rare as hens teeth) engine alone. I can add a buy-it-now price if someone suggests a sensible figure.

Im also about to list another silly vehicle - a micro tank - based on a tiny tracked dumper, but with a seat on it and hand controls - I built it for my wife whos disabled, but she is scared of it... doh. Youtube vid of it pulling a ten ton camper truck available.

When I was building this, I got a lot of help from Rob, from Exmoor Customs - (he has just won 'Best Engineering' at a major european wide custom bike show for his current bike). Rob was really helpful, and a bloomin good welder.

i have a pile of accessories - cotton braided HT leads, olde worlde ht lead terminals, bakelite meters, old school fuel filter, burr walnut veneer (might be in poor condition by now), silencers, hydraulics for steering, silicone pipe, radiators (4 off - all new - tacked in place as 'running boards') - which you are welcome to pick through and take at no cost.
