IBM Power Series 850 PowerPC laptop. A fantastic machine for its time, runs AIX (IBM's Unix) and has the following spec:
Full spec and info is here: http://www.tecnopolis.ca/aixtp/tpi850pr.html Postage The complete package will weigh around 5kg, with box dimensions of 34cm x 43cm x 21cm. I will use this to calculate the estimated overall cost of postage (based on your location) and ask for you to pay this amount prior to me posting the item off to you using the cheapest option the UK Post Office have available. Any difference in estimated cost and actual cost will be refunded to you. If I've underestimated the amount, I'll accept that as my loss! You can also pick it up from me in person, although I will insist on payment via Paypal first of course. On 17-Feb-13 at 19:26:59 GMT, seller added the following information: More info about condition of item: There are very few scratches. There is some slight damage to the surface on the external front of the screen lid where a label had previously been attached. You can see this on the eBay photo. The only other significant scratch (and it's not very significant) is a slight (1mmx2mm) gouge on the bottom of the battery flap. I can send a photo of this and any other sections if needed - just let me know. There are some slight scratches on the barcode and S/N number label on the bottom of the unit. The keyboard doesn't show signs of wear, and the red trackpoint tip is in almost-new condition, although it might have been replaced of course. The left mouse button is unreliable and requires pressing at one end to register a click. This might be oxidisation of the contact over time, although I remember several 850s I've used had this problem, so it could be a common issue. In addition, the rubber feet are still in almost perfect condition. On some units the feet can turn to mush over time because of heat issues. On bootup the sampled chime/fanfare is heard. There are no other error beeps. After the IBM graphic appears, the bootup process commences normally and it doesn't enter the BIOS with a "Continue" button as sometimes happens with problematic machines.
