This part is a new aftermarket piece.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

The STARTER recoil system on these 2 cycle generators is a poor design. If you grab the pull rope and start tugging away - you will break the recoil. You must gently pull the rope until you feel it engage the flywheel and then give a sharp pull.  The problem is the flywheel has only two engagement points in a 360 degree circle for the recoil to engage. If the recoil travels 170 degrees and slams into the engagement post on the flywheel - bad things happen.

We only clean them up well enough to inspect them - you engine guys know how much time that can take. This item is used so expect the normal paint loss, minor scrapes, and some discoloration in the muffler area.
