1948 to 1953 "Alacite" Simplicity, was manufactured of a special glass first made by Aladdin in 1938.  This Alacite glass was advertised as an "off-white opal glass" and became quite popular in this era.  This lamp is a perfect example of this series of Aladdin lamps, with no flaws in the glass or model B era burner, or of era rare Aladdin chimney.  The glass shade is from the 1930's and hand painted with a beautiful floral pattern.  The lamp will come with a new Aladdin mantel and wick so you can immediately admire it after unpacking.
