The pen does work, but you should understand that that Dell has had issue with responsiveness of these pens. Please do your research, Dell has assured the community they are working hard on correcting the problems. You should purchase a new battery prior to receiving the pen. I removed it because I didn't want to risk the battery corroding in the device.
