We use a variety of Courier and Carrier services; these include Royal Mail, Parcelforce, MyHermes and City Link. The Courier that we use for a specific item is dictated by its size, weight and destination. We always aim to ensure we choose the quickest and best value-for-money option. Where ‘free postage’ is stated, the Courier will be City Link, unless otherwise stated.

We deliver to the following destinations only by prior arrangement: Northern Ireland, Eire, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Far North Scotland, Scottish Islands, Orkney, Shetland, Hebrides. We require prior arrangement because sometimes our Couriers/Carriers charge a surcharge for these destinations; we are happy to dispatch to these destinations but we will pass-on the surcharge costs (if any) to the buyer. Please ask us for a delivery quote for these destinations before purchase.

We feel that our P&P charges are fair and good value for money; the P&P charge as shown in the listing includes all packaging, labels and our time in terms of waiting for Courier collection, or our travel to the Courier Hub.

For all purchases we require payment via PayPal within 48 hours of the auction-end or BuyItNow. We are able to accept ‘cash on collection’ or ‘cash on delivery’ where collection/delivery in person has been arranged with us prior to the end of the listing. Failure to pay within this 48 hour period, unless by prior arrangement, will result in us opening a ‘non-payment case’ with eBay.

The nature of the goods we sell sometimes means that there is inevitable wear, age, minor damage and patina; the goods we sell are pre-owned and used. We try to ensure that any major faults are described in either the main listing or the condition report; it is essential that the “condition report” and “seller notes” is read by prospective buyers. The vast majority of our items are of a vintage or antique nature and as such can be anything from 20 to 200 years old. We feel that 'age', 'wear' and 'patina' adds to the appeal of our items, but we feel that it is necessary to inform potential customers that if "perfect, just left the factory" condition is required, then perhaps purchase of an antique is not for you. Please feel free to discuss your requirements with us. We are happy to seek a resolution should you have any issues with your purchase.
