Architects Flemming Busk and Stephan Hertzog formed their design studio
in 2000, and for more than a decade they’ve been designing furniture and
products for the Royal House of Norway, the Norwegian Embassy in
Helsinki, The Modern restaurant at MoMA in New York and other clients.
Their products have been part of our assortment since the beginning, and
we’re excited to add their Bay Sleeper Sofa (2011) to our line. This
Sleeper Sofa can be used as a sofa, daybed, double bed or two twins.
With its wrap-around backrest and feather-filled back pillows, the Bay
Sleeper allows you to nestle into the corners of this sofa, even turning
sideways to stretch out your legs. The back pillows are channel filled
to keep feathers evenly distributed and reduce the need for fluffing.
Slipcovers are removable for cleaning. Simple assembly required. Made in
Denmark.
To convert the Bay Sleeper into a double bed or two twins, simply remove the top cushion and place it on the floor.
Shipping: Contact us for
shipping quote. Shipping could range from roughly $150 for customers
in the NY/NJ area to $600 for customers on the west coast. Depending on location, delivery could take 4-6 weeks.

Smaller parcels ship via FedEx Monday-Friday within 2-5 business days after payment clears. Parcels with a total combined selling price over $500 require a direct signature from the buyer. Tracking number's will be provided via e-mail.
Large items ship via AGS Freight or Ukay Delivery. Both delivery services provide curbside delivery only. Please note the delivery company is not responsible for lifting or carrying the products into the house or business location. If you require inside delivery, un-boxing/crating, assembly, etc... contact us for rates. The buyer will be contacted directly by the shipping company to schedule delivery. Please inspect packages & products and make note of any damages on the delivery receipt prior to signing for delivery. Neither Design Within Reach Outlet nor the trucking company is liable for any damages unless damage was noted on the delivery receipt. If there is a problem with your order contact us within three (3) days of receipt and we will work with you to make things right.
International shipping: At this time, we can only ship internationally to Canada. Canadian customers are responsible for duties, taxes and service fees that may occur in their country. Please just message us with the items you are interested in and your postal code for a quote.
FREE Local pick-up: We offer FREE local pickup at our DWR Outlet location located in Secaucus, New Jersey. Secaucus is conveniently located near New York City and Jersey City. Please make arrangements to pick up your items within 3 days of auction end.
