This is a rare first-printing copy of Journey to Yandol, and other stories, a collection of science fiction short stories by Stuart J. Whitmore.

Only a few copies of this printing were ever made, later printings use a different cover design, physical size, and interior design (some aspects). See photo for comparison; a copy of the current printing is shown for reference but is not included in this auction.

I don't have the exact count of how many were made, but it's definitely fewer than 20, and probably less than 10. This copy is in very good condition.

The first printing was not assigned an ISBN. For reference, you can find the current printing using either the 13-digit ISBN (978-1466383456) or 10-digit ISBN (1466383453).

To be clear, I am the author and I am selling the only copy I own of this printing. I never intended to sell it, but financial needs override creative preferences. I am listing it as an autographed copy, but that is actually up to you, the buyer -- if you want it pristine, I won't autograph it. If you want a simple autograph, or a message with an autograph, that is fine too, just let me know your preference before I ship it. If I don't hear from you, I will assume you want it to be autographed.

As a collector, you will want to know: Does this book have any value now, and will it have any value later?

My analysis:

• Current value is low. The current printing sells in the $6-7 range, and just looking at it as a retail product, the current printing is nicer than this one. I'm not popular enough as a writer, or famous enough in any other area, for there to be current demand for this as a collector's item.
• Future value is uncertain, as is true with anything. In this case, it will depend on how popular this book becomes and/or how much fame (or notoriety!) I gain in the future.
