Upgrade build plate for the Makerbot Replicator 1 and all identical printers

The standard build plates are made of thin rolled sheets of aluminium. Rolled aluminium has the property to deform when it is warmed up - a very bad propery in 3D printing.

Our build plate is made of 6mm cast aluminium wich has a finely milled and matt polished top surface.

More material = more volume for smoother heat distribution + better damping of vibrations. Aluminium cast does not warp when it is warmed up.

If you have a Makerbot clone, please check the measurements at the drawings in the product pictures. You can also contact us if you need a special version or if you are not sure it fits.
