You are bidding on a completely one off framed print of the Beatles, the print is signed at the bottom by Cynthia Lennon who drew the original picture. Cynthia kindly had the print made and framed and signed it prior to her sad passing in 2015. Cynthia's son Julian is a Patron of the St Thomas Lupus Trust.

The picture is in a white frame (there are some small marks on the frame that can be corrected easily with a bit of white paint), it measures approximately 62 x 70cm (including frame) and approximately 40 x 47cm for the actual print and weighs approximately 5-6kg

The winner will be able to collect the picture from Guys Hospital (right next to the Shard building in London, UK). Or, if preferred can arrange to have it collected by a courier, but the winner would have to arrange that themselves at a mutually convenient time. If you have any questions regarding the collection of the picture please ask well in advance of the auction end.

The original painting of the Beatles was inspired by the song 'Your mother should know' when it appeared in the film the Magical Mystery Tour, written by Paul McCartney. In the film the Beatles, wearing white tuxedos, come down a grand staircase followed by boy scouts.

Cynthia kindly gave permission for the image to be used to raise funds for the St Thomas Lupus Trust and we produced Beatles notelets, still available via our shop online.

The charity is linked to the Beatles through the song 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds'. Julian Lennon had a childhood friend, Lucy Vodden and drew a picture of her. His father, John Lennon, saw the picture and it led to him writing the now iconic song.

Lucy lost her battle with lupus in 2009 aged just 46, she was a staunch supporter of the St Thomas Lupus Trust.
