Refurb Grading Guidelines

 

Grade A :- All Functionality Pass

Very Fine hairline scratches( Less than equal to 5 mm in length at back cover & less than 5mm on the touch/ LCD) ,very fine (Less Than 2 mm)dent at one corner.

 

Grade B :- All Functionality Pass

1) Minor scratches on Screen(Less than equal to 5 mm in length) 2) Minor Dents/Scratches on sides/back (Less  than 5 mm in length and only Two dent of size 2-3mm on any of the corner).

 

Grade C :- All Functionality Pass

1) Scratches( 5-10 mm in length & 2,3) on LCD /on back cover number <5 Scratches2) Dents:(a) 2-4 minor dents to 2-3mm on back (b) Minor dents of 2-3 mm can be 4-5 in numbers on sides 3) 3-4 small dots/spotson the LCD screen but not visible once phone is configured and on Home Screen/Working condition. 4) Small/minor change of colour in the corners/sides.

 

Grade D :- All Functionality Pass

1) Minor dots/spots size 2-5mm <=5 no on LCD2) Change of color 10-15 mm from all sides 3) Change of colour in LCD., Long patches,>20 mm in size. 4) Minor Cracks on Cosmetics All sides 5) Receiver Net Missing 6) Paint peel off 7) Colour pale/change 8) One or 2 keys hard pressed 9) Missing Rubber cover on sides 10) Poor Fit gap in back cover casing.

A. Pick & Drop Locations with Cashless benefits

  1. In the event of any warranty claim, the customer should intimate Ingram Micro within 48 hrs.thru Toll Free-1800-420-4664 or imcoverplus.in@ingrammicro.com
  2. Cover Plus team captures customer details and inform customer of the process and documentation
  3. Agency reaches customers premises for pick up, shows id card and requests for handsets.
  4. Customer’s, handset, IMEI number, brand etc is verified .
  5. Agency gives verification cum acceptance letter to the customer.
  6. Agency will also collect, Proof of purchase, proof of id, a copy of verification done counter signed by the customer, and all other relevant documents as per IMIL.
  7. Agency will take the handset to the IMIPL  authorized service centre for repair estimate
  8. Agency shall share relevant documents with Ingram Micro and proceed with repair once approval is received.
  9. On completion of repair, agency to inform IMIPL and deliver the device back to customer.
  10. Agency to take POD from customer

  2. Cover Plus team captures customer details and informs customer of the process and documentation
  3. The customer is asked to take an estimate of expenses being incurred against such a loss from the Authorized Service Centre.
  4. ASC to identify, if the device falls under warranty repair and give information of the same on the claim document provided by IMIPL
  5. The estimate should detail the type of loss, parts being replaced and cost of labour.
  6. Complete the claim form, giving a detailed description of how the event of loss occurred.
  7. Customer to scan the following documents, Claim form, discharge voucher, two pictures of the device( one with IMEI), copy of purchase invoice, copy of repair estimate, cancelled cheque, and mail to- imcoverplus.in@ingrammicro.com
  8. Within 3 days of sending such documents the customer will receive confirmation on mail with acceptance/rejection of claim
  9. The customer to then proceed with repair
  10. Once repaired, the customer should make payment to the ASC and collect all original documents.

What does refurbished mean: Refurbished products are used customer returns that are essentially "new" items, or they may be defective products that were returned under warranty, and after repairing the defects products are available for reselling.  

How are refurbished phones different from New:  The main difference between "refurbished" and "New" products is that refurbished products have been tested and verified to function properly, and are thus defects free, while "New" products may or may not be have defect as they are box pack untouched.

What is Box Changed: Original box is replaced with new box, as due to handling original packaging is having marks of handling.

Where can I get my phone serviced in case of problem:

    Buyer can get the service from any local Ingram Micro India Ltd. Office.

Warranty applicable only for manufacturing defects.
