see here for sale is a Used Genuine 1969 Ford Mustang 3 Speed Manual Toploader
Gearbox
It came out of a 1969 Mustang with a 250 6 Cylinder Motor in the
US - but they are the same as the earlier V8 Mustang Toploader Gearboxes too

Body Ford Part #
C8AR-7006-B Cast Date 8H16 (16th August 1968) - note later type with both
bellhousing bolt patterns - so will also work in earlier Mustangs and Falcons
etc

I
pulled the Top off and it looks Real Nice and Clean in there all snycros look
good and well as the gears and Oil is nice and Clean
Sorry I havent test driven it and
I dont know the mileage - But I wouldnt hesitate putting this
straight back into a Mustang or Stockcar
!!!

4-SPEED TOPLOADER IDENTIFICATION
On the passenger side
at the front edge of the maincase there is a small metal tag with
a HEH or RUG number. This is a list of tag numbers that
decode the transmission. The lower number on the tag is the serial
number of the transmission in the order it was tagged, it has nothing
to do with the serial number of the vehicle the transmission is
in.
