1968 BSA Bantam D14/4S, 175cc, first registered 27/05/1968. The D14/4 Sport had heavy duty front forks, larger bore exhaust down pipe and full width hubs as the earlyer and standard Bantams were smaller.

This Bantam is very original, it has original paintwork/ chrome work, the only place that is not original is on the side pannells, either ride or restore, would make an easy restoration project. The bike is not rotten, just has surface rust, the chrome work should re-chrome if restoration is prefared. The bike will need a thorough checking over before it is used on the road.

NEW PARTS

This Bantam has just had a re bore on 04/01/2012, new piston, rings, full engine oil seal kit, full gasket kit, battery, horn and clutch cable, all the lights work ok.

Inside the petrol tank is very clean and rust free and no gooey tank sealer. Starts first or second kick, hot or cold, runs and rides great, pull well altough it will need running in as the rebore has only been done a couple of weeks. 21181 miles are shown on the clock, i beleive it to be genuine as it was still on a standard piston and bore before i had it done.

I have a new V5 for the bike.

If this item should sell i would like payment and collection within 7days of the auction ending and Bid To Buy Not To View! this bike is 44 years old so will need a checking over before being used! No reserve and low starting bid, No Buy It Now.
