This is a surprisingly strong and heavy
footstool, upholstered in a floral barkcloth. The base is a solid pine
and it is as strong today as the day it was made. No wiggles or loose
joints. I think it is handmade and probably dates from the 1940s to the
early 1950s. The top is padded and then upholstered with a pretty
floral barkcloth with a ruffled skirt. A perfect little stool for any
feminine reading corner.
The stool is in very good condition, the
finish on one leg is somewhat alligatored which only adds to its charm.
The fabric is unstained with no rips or tears.
Measures 19"
long x 12" wide x 12-1/2" high, weighs 12 lbs. Sorry, international shipping isn't available due to
the weight and size.
