Up for auction,this beautiful vintage nautical ship's  bell clock ,marked on the front

 SCHATZ  ROYAL MARINER ...WITH EXTERNAL BELL !!! .Made in Germany !!!!

Glass is in good condition  .

 It  is a thick heavy glass with a slight bevel on the edge ,very nice quality .

Face [ Dial ] Good condition with some slight scratches .

Wood plaque with some missing paint [ product for the clock age ]

The brass case  and bell is around 11 pound !!!

The door opens and closes fine.

Brass case measures about 6 3/4 inches across including the hinge and the piece to open the door

Glass measure 5 3/8 inches in diameter ,and the clock case is about 4 inches deep

 Adjustment on the front to adjust fast/slow and chime off /on

Brass case in excellent condition !!!

It keeps excellent time and correctly rings ships bell on the hour and half hour.

THE MOVEMENT JUST BEEN SERVICES BY PROFESSIONAL CLOCK MAKER OVER  TWO WEEKS AGO,STRONG RUNNING CLOCK AND LOUD BELL !!!!!!

The fine movement has a seven jewels mechanism and strikes the ships bell perfectly every half hour

the ships bell striking system sound eight bells at 12 o' clock .... 4 o' clock and 8 o' clock .then the

count begins all over again every half hour with one bell ,two bells ,three bells, ect ...until eight bells

are sound again .

Key included with this clock.this clock is over 45 years old .
