You are bidding on this very differant cast iron clock. When I first purchased it, I thought it was brass, but it is just paint that color. It is in very solid condition and is working great. The electric cord was very bad, so I have put a new one on it. Made by the H.A.Best Lamp Co., of Chicago,Ill. The clock is called "The Best".It does have a Hammond electric movement in it. It has a switch on the back to turn the dial light on and off. The switch does have just a little play in it, but still works very good. 60 cycle, 110 volt A.C., & 2.4 watts. The serial number is 2668. It has a very simple alarm setting dial on the back. It is a self starting clock, put the button in and turn to get it going. Does have a silent/alarn switch also. The alarm isn't very loud on this thing, but it does work and would wake you up.Stands just over 7" tall. 6 1/2" wide, and just over 2 1/2" deep. The front dial glass is very good and clear. A clock that is just a little differant, and heavy. Thanks for looking.
