Anthony Burgess A Clockwork Orange 1st Edition Heinemann UK. RARE 1st issue with 16s on extra large front flap of wrapper. The book is in black cloth- later issues were in purple cloth. The wrapper has a small amount of loss at the top of spine and some edge wear. A clean wrapper with no marks or foxing. A negligible water stain on the front flap and small amount of residue from tape marks on back flap. The book is free from inscriptions and binding is firm. There are a few handling marks and a small biro mark on half-title page. There are new end papers and a new sheet has been placed on reverse of front board and a small piece of paper at the bottom of final page of text. This book can sell for over £2000 A GOOD INVESTMENT.
