This is a super 2 piece Victorian black dress with a self coloured Sprigged Flower decoration and Lace insert

I cannot see any Bustle Straps but it would probably have been worn with a Bustle

Leg of Mutton Sleeves with a Peplum above the elbow
Deep pocket to one seam
All fastens with a multitude of hooks and eyes - some missing

Possibly made by a Dressmakers as an inner waist band is machine made with
James Shoolbred & Co Tottenham House machine embroidered on it
James Shoolbred and Company was a draper and later a department store, located on Tottenham Court Road, London.
The store was established in the 1820's at 155 Tottenham Court Road selling textiles for home furnishing. In the 1870's the store began designing, manufacturing and selling high quality furniture. The company ceased trading in 1931
Condition:
The skirt is virtually Perfect
Top does have some issues:White Silk lining to the lace has perished and needs replacing
In the past there has been a problem on the right front shoulder and a poor repair has been done. Thus needs doing properly.
I am also including a large Triangular tasselled Shawl which came with the dress. Self coloured black stripe pattern
One mendable tear
