This auction is for the sale of the yellow board pictured above. It incorporates a rounded belly in the nose for easy speed pick up and cut through chop leading to a small planing area to develop speed and into a deep singe concave to give control out of the rear. Hard chamfered rails allow the board to hold in the face similar to a traditional foam bodyboard. Where this board benefits over a traditional bodyboard is the lack of flex allows the board to develop far more speed then a foam board can. The stiff design however does make take-offs trickier so to combat this I've added more nose rocker into this iteration which allows for steeper take offs, a slight compromise over my longer, flatter paipo but I have found this design the best compromise between speed and manoeuvrability. Written a bit more about this board on my seasonal surfcraft blog: http://seasonalsurfcraft.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/same-same-but-different-development-of.html Email me if you'd like to know any more information. |
