The Item For Sale

Most of the items sold by Yorkshire Cat Rescue are donated to us by well-wishers (we do buy a few things for sale, and sometimes sell things that have been made by our supporters). We have checked them for damage and described them accurately to the best of our ability, but we are not experts! Please ask us if you have any questions, or if something isn’t clear. We are also pleased to hear from any experts who may wish to add information about the items we're selling. All proceeds from this auction will be used by Yorkshire Cat Rescue for the current benefit of cats, or for any ongoing appeals for the long-term benefit of cats

Please note, unless we use buy-it-now when we start this auction, we prefer to let the auction run and we will not stop it to sell outside of eBay or change to a buy-it-now sale. We also generally do not have time to decline email requests for us to sell using Buy it Now when the item is on an auction listing. Sorry!

Payment

We prefer:
* Sterling Cheques (made payable to Yorkshire Cat Rescue);
* Sterling Postal Orders (crossed and made payable to Yorkshire Cat Rescue)
* Cash ON COLLECTION ONLY

We will also accept:
* Paypal
* Direct Bank Transfers IN STERLING ONLY (any bank charges to be paid by the buyer). Please ask us for details of our bank account.

Postage (Shipping) and Packing

UK BUYERS - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING
Following the April 2013 postal increases, we now offer two or three postage options. Please ensure you are happy to pay one of the amounts quoted before you bid. Please note, the more you pay, the faster the postal service will deliver your item. Only pay the lowest amount if you are prepared to wait several days for your item. We always post within 2 working days of receiving payment, however different delivery options may take more or less time to deliver.

This may be packed in a recycled box. We make sure that boxes are clean and have not had food products directly inside them. Using recycled boxes keeps your postage and packing costs down, and helps with recycling.

The price quoted includes:
* Postage to a UK address
OR
*Airmail postage to a non-UK address
AND
* An amount towards the packaging materials used

If we have substantially over-quoted for postage, we will refund, but please tell us if you would like us to keep the difference as a charitable donation. Thank you

We will post the parcel as quickly as possible. We do not post on Saturdays, Sundays or UK Bank Holidays. Prompt payment at the end of the auction will ensure almost immediate postage.

Local buyers may collect the item but only with prior agreement by email. The item can be collected from our centre at Cross Roads (BD22 9AQ), or our shop in Keighley (78-80 BD21 3RL), however if you have not received confirmation of this we cannot gurantee that the item will be where you want it to be. We prefer cash on collection for items that are collected in person.

If you buy more than one item from different auctions or buy it nows, eBay may invoice you for postage which is simply the addition of the postage for the two (or more) items you have bought. It may be cheaper for them to be sent together and if this is the case, we will invoice you once we have repacked and weighed the items. Please feel free to ask us to reinvoice you if you buy more than one item, we will that you are given the cheapest option(s). If you would like to donate the difference between this and the actual postage, please pay the amount invoiced to you by eBay - you have our thanks. If you prefer to pay the correct postage, please wait for our invoice. It may take a day or so for us to advise you, but please feel free to request a combined invoice.
Feedback

Please leave positive feedback if you are satisfied with the transaction. We will regard this as the end of the transaction from your point of view. If you're not happy, please contact us and we will try to rectify the situation (see below). We will leave positive feedback for you as soon as we can, at which point we will consider the transaction fully completed.

Returns

Item not as described - please return to us using ebay's return item policy. We will refund your costs and return postage. We reserve the right to dispute your opinion. You should itemise in detail the reasons that you believe the item description to be wrong.
Item damaged in transit - please notify us using ebay's return item policy. We may ask you to return the item, or we may ask you to retain it for examination by the Postal Services. We will refund including postage.
Item fails to arrive - please notify us and we will refund. Please note the following time limits (in accordance with Royal Mail conditions). UK - 15 days. We will not consider a refund until after this period of time has elapsed.
If you change your mind - please return to us using ebay's return item policy.
