SWAINE HUNTING HORN IN LEATHER CASE

This beautiful vintage 9" Swaine & Co Hunting Horn is housed in an equally lovely and vintage leather horn case ready for mounting to your saddle. The leather holder itself is not marked, so I do not know if it is original to the horn or if it is by Swaine (Adeney, Brigg) too. Swaine is amongst the best in terms of manufacturers and retailers of top quality rural items so this package of the horn and the leather holder is a snip at the price. The horn has not been polished but I'm sure will come up nicely and aside from the expected few 'dings' to the horn there are no faults such as tears or splits. Great sound from the horn. The bell is marked "SWAINE & CO LONDON" and the lettering is slightly rubbed - see photos.

Approx Dimensions: 9” horn (233mm) Bell diameter - 2" (50mm)

Faults: Age related scuffs, rubbing to lettering, pre-used condition, no specific faults.
