David Bowie ‘Absolute Beginners’ white label signed by producer Clive Langer

David Bowie’s ‘Absolute Beginners’ single, a double sided white label 12 inch 1986 pre-release test pressing, ref US 83812 A Y, produced by Clive Langer. It topped the charts in Britain in 1986 in the wake of the feature film of the same name from top UK Director Julien Temple from Colin MacInnes’s seminal 1950s Soho novel.

Madness and Bowie producer-musician Clive Langer kindly donated several rare acetates to be auctioned off on eBay in support of the campaign documentary film Tin Pan Alley Tales made by the crew behind The Save Denmark St Street Campaign.
